Insanely Cool Tools - Substack Edition #3
Best tools in your pocket! š±
I hope you had a great and relaxing weekend!
I spent the whole weekend at home with my family. We watched Zootopia 2 (Iād rate it 7/10), cooked some food, and played with LEGO and Hot Wheels with my little one.
The highlight for him was probably watching an hour Carwow (Channel on YouTube) drag racing episode. He didnāt move the entire time. And, as usual, when it ended and I said, āThatās enough screen time for today,ā we had a fight. š
Had a really great time, but Iām ready for the new week. šŖ
Iāll try to keep this intro short and focus on a few key points:
1ļøā£ I didnāt expect the 1st issue and 2nd issue to get so many opens and clicks. I really appreciate it! ā¤ļø It keeps me motivated to keep improving this newsletter and finding the best tools for you!
2ļøā£ I canāt live without the issues š I had some problems with my email.
So if you sent me an email earlier - whether it was about a tool youād like to promote, something youāre working on, or just to say Hi š. Please send it again. You can reply directly to this issue or email me at hello@insanelycooltools.com
Sorry about that. I tried to be a smart-ass and ended up messing up some DNS settings on the domain š¤·āāļø
3ļøā£ Earlier this week I wrote an article for another newsletter called āHow to Make Money With a Newsletter?ā
In it, I shared how much I paid for this newsletter, how much money I make from newsletters each year, and most importantly a step-by-step guide on how YOU can make money with newsletters too.
If you have any questions after reading it, feel free to reach out to me by email or on social media.
Thanks for your support. Letās dive into the tools!

Turns Excel into something you can actually talk to. You can ask Claude to analyze sheets, explain formulas, or generate insights without exporting anything. It feels like Excel has finally caught up with how people really work.
Simply upload your trip plan and it turns it into a short animated travel video. Itās a really nice way to share your trip on social media and a great alternative to a spreadsheet.
This tool probably wonāt be useful for everyone, but itās really fun to try. You simply upload images or drawings, and it turns them into 3D models. Iām looking forward to trying it with my sonās first drawings of cars.
Remember when you used to buy software once and actually own it? These two tools bring that feeling back. Writebook is for writing and publishing books, and Campfire is for worldbuilding and story planning. One payment. No subscription.
An AI workspace for developers that sits between planning and coding. Helps break ideas into steps and turn them into actual build plans instead of vague prompts.
An experimental Google Labs project that turns simple text or image prompts into interactive worlds you can explore in real time. Itās not just images or video but the environment updates and reacts as you move through it.
If you actually want to quit social media, not just feel bad about it, this tool might help. It blocks sites, apps, and other distractions on a schedule you canāt easily undo. Great for challenges or full-on resets.
P.S. I donāt have an Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok (I donāt even have account) on my phone for years . Just X and LinkedIn. One of the best decisions Iāve made. No time wasted scrolling.
š± iOS & Android Apps
A few apps I discovered this week. Some of them are iOS-only. Sorry, Iām still an Apple fanboy⦠š
šGizmo
A weird and fun Apple-only app that feels like a party game mixed with social discovery. Hard to explain, easier to try.
Download for iPhone. š±
šPineDrama
TikTok quietly launched a drama-focused video app. It is not polished yet, but it is interesting to see TikTok experiment outside the main feed.
Download for iPhone. š±
šOne Sec
Adds a pause before opening distracting apps. Sounds simple. Works surprisingly well if you are trying to break muscle memory.
Download for iPhone. š±
šBeReal
Gives you random coordinates and tells you to go there. People treat it like fate or a social experiment. Half adventure, half placebo, still weirdly compelling.
Download for iPhone. š±
šArc Search
AI-assisted mobile browser that summarizes the web instead of dumping links. Good for quick research on your phone.
Download for iPhone. š±
š(Not Boring) Weather
A beautifully designed (or⦠differently designed) weather app. You open it because itās fun. Not because you actually need another weather app.

Everyone is suddenly obsessed with email again.
This one is getting attention because of the Epstein discourse swirling around it.
Whether it lasts or not, it shows how fast attention can snap to anything adjacent to that story.
It was interesting to find some emails from Lithuanians. Even though weāre a small country, weāre everywhereā¦
